Thiele & Associates has advised the owners of Singapore-based Vadotech Group on their sale to publicly-listed AB Dynamics plc from the UK. The transaction was closed on March 3rd, 2021.

Founded in 1997, Vadotech is a leading supplier of testing services in the Asia Pacific region. The Group has approx. 140 employees and operates locations in China, Japan, Germany and Spain offering comprehensive automotive testing services including evaluations of ADAS systems, infotainment, connectivity, electric vehicle performance and charging and other associated functions. The primary operation is based in Beijing, China where Vadotech has a 60.000 ft² testing centre with a wide range of testing capabilities. The business has long standing relationships with German automotive OEMs, providing vehicle testing services to local operations, underpinned by long term customer framework agreements.

AB Dynamics is one of the world’s leading specialists in automotive test systems. The UK based and London Stock Exchange rated company provides a wide range of applications, from validation and durability to the development of advanced technologies for active safety and autonomous driving. AB Dynamics customers include the top 25 global vehicle manufacturers, all seven Euro NCAP laboratories and numerous government test authorities.

With the acquisition AB Dynamics establishes a new divisional operating hub in Singapore to manage and develop the Asia Pacific region. In addition to that, the company expands its international footprint by providing a sales and technical facility in the strategically important Chinese market. It is the intention to replicate the Vadotech Group business model in other territories such as Europe and the USA.
